Conflict of interest

Declaring and managing every conflict, with a public register.

Draft for board adoption. This policy will be reviewed and adopted by the board at its first meeting, then reviewed every year. Questions? Use our contact form.

Who it applies to

Directors, staff, contractors, clinical advisers and volunteers.

What counts as a conflict

Any situation where personal, financial, family or business interests could influence, or appear to influence, a decision. This includes any connection to School of Sexual Wellness Pty Ltd, and any interest in a menopause, hormone, supplement, device or women's health business.

What we do

  • Everyone declares interests when they join and updates them within 14 days of any change.
  • Conflicts are recorded in a register reviewed at every board meeting.
  • A conflicted person does not receive papers, take part in discussion or vote on the matter.
  • Only independent directors decide anything involving School of Sexual Wellness Pty Ltd. Hope leaves the room.
  • Every related party payment is published in our annual report.

Gifts and hospitality

Gifts above A$100 in value are declared and recorded. We do not accept gifts from companies that sell menopause or hormone products where the gift could influence our programmes.
