What we collect

  • Programme applicants and participants: name, contact details, postcode, eligibility for a funded place, health information you choose to share, and feedback and outcome surveys.
  • Donors: name, contact details, gift amount and receipt details.
  • Directors, volunteers and contractors: identity, contact details, checks and qualifications.
  • Website visitors: what you submit in forms. We do not use advertising trackers.

We collect only what we need. You may use a first name only for workshops.

Consent for health information

We collect health information only with your express consent and only where needed. You can withdraw consent at any time.

How we use it

To deliver and improve programmes, to report de-identified results to funders and in research, and to contact you about what you signed up for. News emails only if you opt in.

What we never do

  • Sell or rent personal information.
  • Share participant, donor or applicant information with School of Sexual Wellness Pty Ltd or any business for marketing.
  • Share identifiable health information with a funder.
  • Publish a story, photo or quote without separate written consent.

Who we share it with

Only service providers who need it to run a programme or this website, under agreements to protect it. Some providers, including our website and form host, store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We share information with authorities only where the law requires it or to prevent serious harm.

Security and retention

Information is kept in protected systems, accessible only to people who need it. Health information is kept separate from donor and marketing records. Records are kept for seven years after your last contact, then securely destroyed. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct your information, free, using our contact form. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
