Policy and advocacy
Care should not depend on postcode, income or luck.
In 2024 a Senate committee inquired into issues related to menopause and perimenopause. We will track progress on its recommendations and add the voices of the women we serve.

Our positions
- Education before symptoms. Women should learn about perimenopause and early menopause before it arrives, not after.
- Genitourinary and pelvic health are core menopause care. They should be asked about routinely, not left for women to raise.
- Regional equity. Training and telehealth should bring informed menopause care to regional and remote communities.
- Work. Employers should offer practical support so women are not forced out of work by treatable symptoms.
- Inclusion. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, women living with disability and women from culturally and linguistically diverse communities must be included in design, not added later.
